Joe’s past and present athletic interests include collegiate lacrosse, competitive volleyball, mountain biking, martial arts and fitness training. At CrossFit MASS, Joe focuses on tailoring training for client’s individual needs, abilities and goals. Joe is extremely enthusiastic about continuing to fine tune his expertise in the CrossFit method and about sharing this knowledge with his clients. Joe has also continuously trained in Chinese martial arts since 1992. Since 2001, he has been one of only a few authorized instructors in the Ch’iang Shan Ba Gua Zhang Association. Joe received his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Massachusetts in 1990.

A member of CrossFit MASS since its inception, Alessandra has built up nearly a decade of first-hand knowledge and experience to share with her athletes. Alessandra was a high school athlete who turned to CrossFit as a way to up her game. The combination of personalized programming plus group classes that offered varied training modalities ultimately landed her on the varsity soccer team, just a year after she was cut from junior varsity. In fact, tryouts for the varsity team felt “easy”. This left her with no doubt of the power of CrossFit. Alessandra works hard to understand and appreciate each individual’s personal journey. Whether you are training to compete, gearing up for a Spartan race, or trying to maintain a consistent, productive routine even with a busy personal and professional schedule, her goal is to help you reach yours. A hallmark of her coaching style is not letting you get caught up in what you can’t do, but celebrating what you can do. You’ll make gains quickly and safely. Known for a hard work ethic, positive attitude, and drive to continue learning, Alessandra is an integral member of CrossFit MASS. Her fascination with coffee, cats, and boy bands only adds to her charm.
She holds Level 2 CrossFit and CrossFit Kids certifications, Level 1 Precision Nutrition and has attended multiple workshops in Olympic Weightlifting, Kettlebell, and Clean and Snatch.
She is currently working on her Pre &Postnatal Certification.
Born and raised in the Dominican Republic coach Alan is CrossFit Level 1 and NASM certified Personal Trainer. He’s also completed a few courses as SAQ (Speed, Agility, & Quickness) and Bodybuilding guide. I became a personal trainer after training changed my perception of life in many ways. It taught me to be more social and appreciate each step of the journey when following a target. This feeling is what kept me in fitness; it is also the reason I want to ensure my clients enjoy their journey and succeed at their fitness goals. My favorite workout is Heavy Squats. It could go from Front Squats to Back Squats, Goblet Squats, Split Squats, you name it! Just let me squat. I’ve recently fallen in love with Olympic lifts like Cleans, Jerks, and Snatches, but they can’t beat a good day of squatting.
